We are seeking a driven Account Executive to join our team and sell industry‑leading IT and cloud solutions to businesses throughout our Chicago, Illinois market. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone who has a proven track record of B2B sales success, specifically with technology solutions such as:
- Cloud Hosting
- Cybersecurity
- Infrastructure‑as‑a‑Service (IaaS)
- Server Colocation
- Managed Backups
- Disaster Recovery
- Identify, target, and generate new business opportunities in the Chicago area
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of leads and prospective clients
- Consult with companies on their technology needs, confidently presenting Expedient’s solutions
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure clients are fully supported throughout the sales process and beyond
- Focus on prospecting, forecasting opportunities, pipeline development, and closing deals based on individual and quarterly sales targets
- Forecast future sales based on trends and observations and meet or exceed quarterly sales quotas
- Develop, prepare, and deliver sales proposals and presentations while partnering with a dedicated Solutions Architect
- Partner with Lead Generation teams and Channel Partner teams to generate leads and turn them into Expedient clients
- 8+ years of experience selling cloud solutions to businesses in the Chicago area and the extended region
- Successful methodology for prospecting and lead generation to grow new business pipeline
- Demonstrated success in B2B technology sales, especially within IT services or cloud solutions
- Aptitude for quickly learning new technology concepts and communicating value to technical and non‑technical audiences
- Excellent relationship‑building and consultative selling skills
- Self‑motivated, driven, and able to work well independently
- Success in sales, consistently over‑achieving assigned quota
Compensation for this position is commensurate with experience and historical sales success. Base salary is $90,000–$120,000 per year. Commissions are uncapped, and on‑target earnings are $200,000 to $250,000 after ramp.
