We are seeking an experienced, motivated Food service Sales Representative who enjoys being in the field, working with people, and driving results. This role is ideal for someone who already understands the food service industry and wants to build a long-term career in sales.

- Inform company of all sales activities, including new business development, account status, customer needs, potential customers, and issues with competition via CRM
- Appear at in-person or online trainings, meetings, trade shows, and sales events
- Implement and carry out strategies to acquire new clients in your sales territory
- Speak to potential customers to introduce our services or new products
- Maintain up-to-date information on our services and products, industry, competition, and market conditions to present them to clients and ensure customer needs are met
- Manage a sales territory and work directly with food service distributor buyers, distributor sales representatives, and key customer accounts
- Develop and execute a territory sales plan to grow new and existing business
- Call on distributor buyers and support distributor sales reps in the field
- Introduce and promote new food and disposable products
- Build relationships with key accounts and decision makers
- Attend trade shows, sales meetings, and training events
- Maintain accurate CRM records of sales activity and customer updates
- Stay informed on product knowledge, industry trends, and competition
- Provide regular updates on account activity, opportunities, and challenges
This is a relationship-driven, consultative sales role—not a desk job.
Qualifications- Applicant must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- CRM experience preferred
- Preferred bachelor’s degree or high school diploma
- 3-5 years of inside or outside sales experience
- Strong customer service, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
- Self‑motivated and organized
- Comfortable working independently in the field
- Competitive but professional
- Passionate about food and the food service industry
- Strong at building and maintaining relationships
- Confident in presenting products to buyers and sales teams
- Must live in the Chicagoland area
- Valid driver’s license (no DUIs)
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities
- 3–5 years of food service industry experience (broker, distributor, manufacturer, or culinary background)
- Sales or account management experience
