Title: Senior Institutional Relationship Manager – Pensions/Endowments & Foundations/Taft‑Hartley
Location: Chicago
DWS is seeking a senior institutional relationship manager for the Coverage Core Institutional team. The role focuses on acquiring new institutional clients—public pension funds, endowments, foundations, Taft‑Hartley pensions—and generating additional revenue from the existing client base within the Central U.S. region.
Responsibilities- Develop new and expand existing business relationships with institutional clients in the Central region.
- Maintain and nurture relationships with client base and advisors of public pension funds, endowments, foundations, and Taft‑Hartley pensions.
- Close business deals and increase revenue from institutional clients.
- Collaborate with a global team of relationship managers, investment specialists, and client service groups.
- Travel flexibly as required to meet clients and prospects.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in client coverage within the asset‑management industry (large asset manager, consultant, or intermediary).
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with credibility at senior levels.
- Self‑motivated, organized, and able to manage time efficiently.
- Proven track record of developing business and maintaining relationships with institutional clients in the Central U.S.
- Knowledge of investment products, investor demand, and industry regulations.
- Team‑oriented and comfortable working in a highly collaborative environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Experience with in the financial sector.
- Established relationships with institutional asset owners and their consultants/advisors.
- Industry experience in asset management.
- Strong academic credentials; CFA or MBA is a plus.
- License(s): series 7 and 63.
The salary range for this position in Chicago is $146,000 to $255,000. Actual salaries may vary based on skill set, experience, education, location, and other qualifications. The role includes incentive compensation and additional benefits tailored to individual needs.
