Job Description Summary
This role is responsible for bringing expertise and a structured approach to pursuing strategic deals, building a robust funnel of opportunities, and driving those to closure in the assigned region. The position requires building strategic relationships, selling horizontally, and understanding the customers' environment well enough to connect GE Healthcare’s capabilities to relevant and prioritized needs within the providers’ organization. The Strategic Solutions Executive must have outstanding experience provoking clients to consider options beyond traditional buying processes, qualifying, aligning, and advising customers, and collaborating internally to shape strategies with clients.
Key Responsibilities- Build a robust funnel of opportunities in strategic bulk buys and long‑term strategic partnerships with target customers.
- Drive identified opportunities to closure with relevant market commercial teams.
- Lead the market commercial team through the deal cycle, ensuring all necessary internal stakeholders are aligned.
- Rapidly build relationships and credibility with account communities and customers.
- Demonstrate outstanding strategic selling skills and lead execution of outcomes selling strategies: provocation, positioning our point of view, qualification, advising, aligning customers, negotiation, and contingency planning—working closely with account communities.
- Collaborate closely with the GM, Strategic Solutions to inform and support the shaping and piloting of new offerings.
- Represent new offerings as the knowledgeable representative within account communities when relevant.
- Expand sales expertise to represent GE Healthcare’s entire portfolio of solutions: imaging, ultrasound, service, LCS, HEF, digital PDx products & capabilities.
- Follow all applicable GE policies, procedures, and operating mechanisms.
- Proactively participate in company initiatives as directed by management.
- Ensure knowledge of and compliance with quality, regulatory, integrity, and company policies.
- Ability to successfully provoke a customer—opening doors to opportunities, measured through funnel growth and deal closure.
- Define pursuit teams and streamline support team operations.
- Achieve a high funnel win rate.
- Demonstrate expertise across the portfolio and manage conversations with customers.
- Lead account communities and product teams to build teamwork, camaraderie, and streamline deal pursuits and strategies.
- Multiple experiences architecting strategic, commercially successful multi‑modality solutions.
- Minimum 8 years experience in the healthcare industry and imaging.
- Strong knowledge of health system operations and financial management.
- Proven track record of engaging with and advising senior healthcare executives.
- Organizational leadership experience—demonstrating ability to directly and indirectly lead teams and influence.
- Strong knowledge of GE Healthcare portfolio.
- 50‑70% travel to support deal pursuits within USCAN.
- Strong critical thinking & analytic skills: ability to analyze financial information and generate alternatives.
- Outstanding business acumen—prioritizing, strategizing to win, and coaching teams to successful outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills across multiple levels, functions, and regions; clear verbal and written communication of complex information.
- Effective relationship building across organization and with customers.
- Strong conflict management and constructive conflict leveraging.
- Proficiency with PC applications including Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience closing large, complex, strategic deals.
- Key account management and project planning skills.
- Outstanding influencing, interpersonal, and networking skills to drive collaborative culture at all levels.
- Ability to cope with pressure and maintain composure in difficult situations.
- High‑level presentation skills; able to present ideas to executives effectively.
- Deep knowledge of GE Healthcare and its products and services—5+ years working at GE Healthcare (recommended, not required).
