OurTeam, Your Impact
This position will be part of a sales team focused on the psychiatry space responsible for the performance of a long‑acting injectable therapy for schizophrenia as well as promoting our existing Psychiatry products in the Chicago, IL area.
As a Sales Specialist, you will work in a compliant and ethical manner, aligning resources with organizational objectives, upholding Teva’s culture and values, analysing trends, building relationships, presenting and selling solutions, and collaborating across functions.
How You’ll Spend Your Day- Achieve all sales performance goals and objectives for your geographic assignment.
- Demonstrate a collaborative sales approach and coordinate efforts between sales leadership, other Teva sales teams, market access, sales operations, and training.
- Develop effective business plans to meet and exceed territory‑level sales goals, sell in different settings of care, and identify key business opportunities.
- Build rapport with employees and external contacts (HCP and office staff) at all levels, responding to their needs.
- Provide healthcare product demonstrations, physician detailing, and in‑servicing of products to current and potential customers.
- Consult with physicians, nurses, and medical office staff to promote products and provide patient education.
- Maintain the call average defined in the sales plan, focusing on top‑target healthcare providers.
- Apply traditional and non‑traditional problem‑solving techniques to improve performance and company effectiveness.
- Adhere to all Teva compliance policies and guidelines.
Education, Certification, Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Pharmaceutical sales experience preferred, with strong preference for psychiatric therapeutic areas.
- Record of successfully achieving sales goals and building effective customer relationships.
- Experience launching products in the psychiatric space across multiple settings of care.
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities
- Ability to interact with customers in live and virtual environments and proficiency with technology.
- Understanding of reimbursement coverage, pull‑through strategies, and experience in relevant settings (CMHC, specialty pharmacy, private practice).
- Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of reimbursement, managed care, or marketing preferred.
- Proven written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience calling on community mental health centers (CMHC) is a plus.
- Ability to travel as required, which may include overnight or weekend travel.
- Valid US driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.
- Must successfully pass background, motor, and drug screening.
- Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
Full‑time documented business‑to‑business sales experience is required, with levels as follows:
Sales Specialist – minimum 1 year;
Executive Sales Specialist – minimum 7 years.
The annual starting salary for this position is between $88,000 and $160,000, depending on geography, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications. The role is eligible for participation in the company’s sales incentive plan.
