Our client is a global leader in industrial robotics and automation systems, part of a $15B international industrial organization with operations across Asia, Europe, and North America. Their advanced robotic solutions support a wide range of industries including manufacturing, material handling, and semiconductor production.
Due to continued growth, they are expanding their General Industries Sales Team and are seeking a Sales Account Manager to drive robotic system and automation sales across the Illinois and Wisconsin territory.
This role is ideal for a technical sales professional with industrial automation experience who enjoys developing new business, building long-term customer relationships, and selling innovative robotic solutions.
What You’ll Do- Drive robotics and automation system sales within the assigned territory
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across multiple industries
- Manage and grow key customer accounts and channel partners
- Evaluate customer production processes and recommend automation solutions
- Prepare and present technical proposals, cost estimates, and ROI analysis
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing
- Build relationships with engineering, operations, and purchasing teams
- Provide regular sales forecasts and activity reports
- Represent the company at trade shows and industry events
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
- 5+ years of industrial automation, or robotics sales experience
- Ability to communicate technical solutions to engineering and operations teams
- Proven success in new business development and account growth
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills
- Experience managing complex technical sales cycles
- Willingness to travel up to 50% within the territory
