Position Overview
An Area Sales Manager is an advanced role responsible for disrupting the dialysis market while selling a clinically and financially superior Med Tech solution, Tablo. The role requires expert-level knowledge in the capital sales process, the ability to build a team of advocates within each facility, strong solution selling skills, the ability to drive change, and tenacity to consistently meet sales objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Create healthy tension to disrupt the status quo.
- Follow a defined and complex sales process with an average sales cycle of 6‑9 months.
- Build clinical, financial, technical, and administrative sponsorship through expert industry knowledge and intense customer strategic discovery.
- Build support from Nephrologists and Medical Officers.
- Identify key institutions, generate market awareness, and drive sales of Tablo within an assigned territory.
- Develop expert‑level knowledge of dialysis.
- Make the economic case for Tablo through a robust hard‑dollar ROI.
- Ensure adherence to the company quality policy.
- Negotiate complex contracts, including software and IT provisions, cybersecurity, and business associate agreements.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years in healthcare capital selling, meeting and exceeding budget.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- 10 years of sales experience selling disruptive Med Tech.
- Experience selling software analytics and EMR integration.
- Ability to travel up to 75%.
- 3 years of sales leadership experience.
- Experience selling in disruptive environments and influencing behavior change.
Base salary of $125,000 with variable commission, target earning $211,600 (subject to change).
