Rail Technical Sales Representative – Foster relationships with current customers and drive sales to new accounts in the Protective and Marine & Coatings business. Utilize proven strategic sales plan to grow assigned accounts in the US Midwest and Canadian territories. Report to the Rail Regional Sales Manager.
Key Responsibilities- Guide territory success by establishing new customers and identifying sales growth opportunities.
- Endorse and position PPG coatings within the market to achieve sales goals.
- Serve as a valued resource to customers by providing ongoing, outstanding service around product recommendation, application and performance.
- Use industry expertise to stay tuned to market, customer and competition trends and apply that knowledge to develop business plans and identify opportunities.
- High school diploma required.
- At least 3 years of sales experience.
- Experience in the rail and coatings industry, such as protective coatings.
- Professional, customer‑centric approach enabling collaboration to sell effectively and solve issues.
- Technical ability to understand product data sheets, SDS sheets, technical journals, and other applicable documents.
