As a Sales Engineer, you'll own and grow customer relationships throughout your assigned territory while identifying new opportunities for aftermarket services and technical solutions.
Responsibilities include:
- Building long‑term partnerships with industrial customers throughout your region
- Identifying and closing new business opportunities including repairs, upgrades, spare parts, field services, and maintenance agreements
- Serving as the primary commercial and technical resource for your customers
- Conducting customer site visits to evaluate equipment, understand operational needs, and recommend value‑driven solutions
- Managing a healthy sales pipeline while accurately forecasting opportunities through CRM tools
- Collaborating closely with Engineering, Operations, Proposal Management, and Field Service teams to deliver outstanding customer solutions
- Representing the organization at customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows while expanding market presence
- 3–5+ years of experience in technical sales, sales engineering, business development, field service, or account management
- Experience supporting industrial equipment, rotating equipment, pumps, compressors, cryogenic systems, industrial gases, manufacturing equipment, or related technologies
- A proven ability to develop new business while growing existing customer accounts
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills
- Experience utilizing CRM platforms such as Salesforce or similar systems
- The ability to understand technical solutions and translate them into customer value
This is a highly customer‑facing role designed for someone who enjoys being in the field and building strong customer partnerships.
Available territories:- Chicago, IL
- Approximately 40–70% overnight regional travel
- $600/month vehicle allowance provided
