Role Overview
Proofpoint is looking for a high performing Sales professional to join their Named Account team selling to Enterprise Healthcare accounts (3000 to 50,000 mailboxes).
The role includes managing 10-15 named healthcare accounts with a mix of white space and existing customers, working with partner community to access white space accounts and upselling/cross‑selling existing customers. Reporting to the Named Account Sales Leader, the candidate will also sell the full Proofpoint Platform, develop account plans, and identify add‑on opportunities.

- Utilize existing network, creativity, and marketing to break into new accounts to exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
- Continued engagement with existing accounts.
- Meet and exceed revenue expectations.
- Leverage account planning to enable success.
- Demonstrate value via quarterly Customer Business Reviews.
- Strategically manage renewals and educate on the Proofpoint Roadmap.
- Continuously educate yourself on the roadmap, new solutions, integrations, and industry news and developments.
- Organize your business through accurate forecasting and maintaining clean and clear Salesforce reporting.
- Be a team player and add to the overall success of the team through result‑driven activity.
The What
- Clearly develop and execute plan with focus on forecast accuracy and SFDC hygiene.
- A passion for bringing value to customers with a focus on details and a never‑give‑up attitude.
- Maintain a high level of activity, emphasis on executive selling (CISO, CIO, CMO, etc.).
- Be a compelling presenter and have a genuine curiosity of cyber security technology.
- Organized and strategic through entire sales process: prospecting to close.
The How
- Minimum 7‑10 years of field sales experience selling complex cyber security solutions in the Healthcare space.
- Existing background selling into healthcare systems, payors, or medical manufacturing.
- Rolodex of existing relationships in major health systems in the territory.
- Demonstrable track record of success.
- Experience working with Channel Partners and selling via two‑tier distribution.
- Track record of developing complex, multi‑product/multi‑year proposals.
- Engaged presentations focused on customer need while delivering overall solution value.
- Ability to identify customer business drivers.
- Use case / business value selling.
- Ability to quarterback multitude of internal and external resources.
