As a Sales Manager, you will lead revenue-generating efforts, cultivating new business and enhancing group sales while coordinating with event services and other departments to exceed revenue goals.
Responsibilities- Achieve market share and revenue goals by collaborating with the Director of Sales and setting individual targets.
- Prepare proposals and contracts to maximize profit while meeting client needs.
- Respond to RFPs and manage client requests in alignment with brand standards.
- Communicate client orders to all departments and coordinate turnkey service with the event/convention team.
- Prospect and solicit potential guests and customers through calls, hotel tours, and hosting events.
- Sell hotel features and benefits to meet client needs.
- Retain and grow existing business through in‑house customer outreach and referrals.
- Review weekly performance goals and take corrective actions to meet objectives.
- Adapt to market and team dynamics to maintain maximum occupancy and revenue.
- Ensure all marketing materials comply with brand standards.
- Represent the hotel at trade shows and customer events as required.
- Develop and implement strategies aligned with Radisson’s mission to achieve sales goals.
- Reinforce customer‑service vision for managers, supervisors, and staff.
- Create an environment that encourages teamwork and service‑brand behavior.
- Maintain and promote the 100% Guest Satisfaction Guarantee, soliciting feedback and driving improvement.
- Provide tools, training, and support for employees to deliver genuine hospitality.
- Maintain flow of information to the sales team and review sales work files.
- Assist in monthly booking reports and forecast goal achievement.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management to ensure guest satisfaction.
- High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Two to four years of hotel sales experience.
- Local market knowledge preferred.
- Experience managing to brand standards.
- Strong collaboration skills with hotel employees and managers.
- General knowledge of contract law.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Delphi and/or Opera.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong negotiation and presentation abilities.
- Willingness to travel.
- Flexible schedule to accommodate business volume or group needs.
Required to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods; lift or move up to 75 lbs.; use of manual dexterity for common office equipment.
Other InformationThe hotel operates 24/7, seven days a week. Associates may be required to adjust shifts and duties to meet business demands.
