About the OpportunityA well-established luxury home design showroom is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Tile & Flooring Sales Consultant to join its retail sales team. This role is ideal for an experienced sales professional with a passion for interior design, remodeling, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
You'll work directly with homeowners, contractors, designers, and trade professionals to help bring renovation and new construction projects to life by recommending premium tile, flooring, bath products, and related home design solutions.
What You'll Do- Provide daily showroom coverage and assist both walk-in customers and trade professionals.
- Consult with customers to recommend tile, flooring, vanities, plumbing fixtures, and related products.
- Manage projects from initial consultation through final delivery, ensuring an outstanding customer experience.
- Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, builders, remodelers, and design professionals.
- Prepare estimates, quotes, and proposals while following company pricing and payment policies.
- Meet or exceed monthly sales and gross margin goals.
- Follow up on customer inquiries, bids, and orders in a timely manner.
- Stay current on product knowledge, design trends, and industry innovations.
- Assist customers with measurements, product selections, and blueprint takeoffs when appropriate.
- Experience in tile, flooring, or home improvement sales.
- Strong design sense with the ability to help customers select products that fit their projects.
- Proven track record of achieving sales goals and growing customer relationships.
- Experience managing trade or contractor accounts.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
