Compensation: $65,000–$75,000/year
Hours: 8 hours/day, typically starting at 7:30 AM or 8:00 AM; 30-minute or 1-hour unpaid lunch

Company OverviewAn established manufacturing company serving industrial customers is seeking an Account Manager to support customer accounts, order processing, sales coordination, and delivery requirements.
Position SummaryThe Account Manager is responsible for managing assigned customer accounts from order entry through shipment and invoicing. This role serves as a primary point of contact for customers while coordinating closely with production, shipping, quality, accounting, and outside sales teams. The position is primarily office-based with minimal business travel.
Key Responsibilities- Process customer orders and inquiries accurately and promptly using the company ERP system.
- Manage assigned accounts and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Follow up on sales leads and identify opportunities for additional business.
- Coordinate with production scheduling to confirm requested delivery dates and order changes.
- Plan shipments and provide instructions to Shipping and Quality teams.
- Prepare and provide shipping documentation, including bills of lading and mill certifications.
- Review shipment pricing and support accurate customer invoicing.
- Address customer complaints and coordinate corrective actions.
- Review product specifications and verify material size, grade, source, coating, weight, and other requirements.
- Monitor inventory, open orders, transfer orders, and incoming material.
- Support outside sales and accounting with pricing, order, and invoice questions.
- Occasionally accompany sales representatives on customer visits.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or a related field.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong customer service, account management, and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred:
- Experience with ERP/order-management systems such as AS400.
- Experience supporting industrial or manufacturing customers.
Work is primarily performed in an office within a manufacturing facility, with occasional exposure to warehouse and production environments. Required PPE must be worn in designated areas. The role may occasionally require lifting up to 20–50 lbs.
