National Sales Manager

We're a mission driven CPG company building a portfolio of innovative brands. We are seeking a National Sales/Account Manager to lead account management, distributor and broker relationships, and the sales team while driving execution, reporting and growth across all channels.

• Manage distributor partnerships, including KeHE, UNFI and regional and international partners
• Lead broker network to ensure clear priorities and accountability
• Own relationships with key accounts in natural, specialty, conventional and digital channels
• Negotiate promotions, pricing and programs to deliver velocity and growth
• Oversee and coach the sales team
• Analyze syndicated data, distributor portals and sales reports to track performance and identify opportunities
• Develop and present reporting, including forecasts and promotion analysis
• Support marketing with shopper marketing initiatives and trade promotions
• Collaborate on pricing strategy and new product launches
• Identify new business opportunities and open new accounts across channels
• Ensure trade spend is tracked and optimized
• Represent the brand at key industry events and trade shows

• 5 to 8 years in CPG sales, with experience managing brokers and distributors
• Direct account management experience with major retailers in natural or specialty
• Strong understanding of trade promotions, deductions and distributor portals
• Comfort with data analysis and sales reporting tools
• Experience managing or mentoring a team
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills
• Ability to work independently in a lean, entrepreneurial environment
