Job DescriptionThe Territory Sales Representative
- Builder reports directly to the Senior Manager, Regional Sales Builder. The primary objective of the Territory Sales Representative
- Builder is to meet or surpass the territory sales plan by acquiring new accounts, expanding business within existing accounts, and managing select accounts. This role encompasses full ownership of account relationships and serves as the central coordinator among all parties involved in account management. This position will oversee all aspects of Builder Channel sales within the Chicago, Illinois market. Candidates should be based in the Greater Chicago area to effectively support customers and business objectives.
- Serves as primary contact, establishing and maintaining relationships with key executives, purchasing, sales, design, and finance personnel within customer organizations.
- Represents the business interests of Master Brand to all assigned customers.
- Conducts comprehensive research to develop competitive and market analyses.
- Develops sales strategies and programs to significantly increase market share and average sales price.
- Acts as a liaison between the builder and the operations team and/or service agent.
- Tracks and manages key sales and operational metrics and engages in problem resolution for improvement.
- Develops value-added reports including forecasts, option and plan usage, product mix, and order accuracy.
- Develops and maintains knowledge of customer systems, construction schedules, and pricing structure, as well as internal systems supporting the business.
- Negotiates new contracts and implements price increases.
- Provides tools and training to builder sales, purchasing, construction, selection, and warranty teams on a continual basis.
- Supports the Accounts Receivable collection process.
- Addresses and resolves escalated homeowner quality issues.
- Consistently demonstrates the Master Brand Way, positioning the company for growth and helping identify opportunities to reduce waste, complexity, and improve our work environment.
- Develops in-depth knowledge of all Master Brand strategic business units.
- Leverages ideas from other reviews and co-workers to provide value-added recommendations and best practices to others.
- Demonstrates teamwork by responsively collaborating with Master Brand management, team members, and channel partners, sharing information and ideas, proactively seeking, and accepting constructive feedback, and accepting additional assignments when appropriate.
- Identifies self-development needs and seeks opportunities to work on areas that will further develop skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field is required.
- Must have 4+ years of experience in sales and/or cabinet experience.
- Proficient analytical and mathematical abilities, with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and drive execution of strategic plans.
- Proven record of delivering results.
- Proficient in communication (both written and verbal), negotiation, and consultative selling; able to interact and present clearly and concisely with skilled tradespeople and customers at all levels.
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Able to clearly and articulately present to customers.
- Ability to travel 50-75% of the time (limited overnight stays) and cover large geography.
