Manager, Premise Account Lead - Chicagoland

Summary

The Account Lead is the primary face of the company for on-premise accounts in the Chicagoland market, responsible for cultivating client relationships, driving sales and visibility, and ensuring distributor execution. This hybrid, in-market role combines strategic account planning, trade advocacy, and hands‑on field activation to achieve distribution, depletion, and revenue targets. The role requires frequent travel and driving to support account visits, activations, and distributor coordination.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support distributor sales teams to achieve brand priorities and sales targets.
• Oversee and monitor sales, depletion, and distribution goals within the assigned market.
• Sell in brands and select activations/programs tailored to each account.
• Develop key account plans, KPIs, menu/listing strategies, and track velocity and sales.
• Lead trade advocacy initiatives, trade education, and in-account programming and activations.
• Collaborate with Field Trade Marketing, Experiential Development, and distributors to execute programs and manage order fulfillment.
• Manage assigned budgets (T&E and A&P) and maximize ROI of activations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.
• 5+ years of sales and marketing experience within the wine and spirits industry.
• Proven relationship‑building, sales, and influencing skills with strong presentation and communication abilities.
• Experience analyzing ROI, budget management, and applying syndicated data insights.
• Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, ability to travel frequently, and ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
