Position: Chemist - 250403

Responsibilities

  • Under supervision, design and conduct analytical experiments utilizing liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LC-MS), gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC-MS), and inductively coupled plasma–mass spectrometry (ICP-MS).
  • Execute validated analytical methods using LC-MS, GC-MS, and ICP-MS instrumentation.
  • Interpret mass spectrometric data, with guidance, to assist in the structural elucidation of unknown compounds.
  • Diagnose and resolve routine analytical and instrumentation issues.
  • Support analytical method development and validation activities under supervision.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and quality in all laboratory activities.
  • Prepare and maintain scientific documentation, including protocols, analytical procedures, validation reports, and technical summaries.
  • Effectively communicate analytical results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Contribute to Operational Excellence initiatives within the Chemistry Department.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment, applying a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry with 5+ years of relevant experience, or
  • Master’s degree in Chemistry with 3+ years of relevant experience, or
  • Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related discipline with 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Practical experience with at least one mass spectrometry platform (LC-MS, GC-MS, or ICP-MS).
  • Working knowledge of structural elucidation techniques for unknown compounds using mass spectrometry.
  • Understanding of analytical method development and validation in compliance with FDA and ICH guidelines.
  • Familiarity with GxP requirements.
  • Strong analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills, with the ability to learn quickly.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management capabilities.
