Role SummaryThe Staff Air Quality Consultant will support air permitting and environmental compliance projects while gaining hands‑on experience across industrial and commercial facilities. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to develop technical skills, work alongside experienced consultants, and build a strong foundation in environmental consulting.
Responsibilities- Support air quality and environmental compliance projects across office and field settings
- Assist with emissions calculations, data analysis, and technical reporting
- Review and interpret environmental regulations and apply them to client operations
- Conduct site visits including sampling and field data collection when needed
- Support preparation of permit applications and regulatory submittals
- Collaborate with senior staff on client communication and agency coordination
- Assist in preparing reports, proposals, and other project deliverables
- Help maintain strong client relationships through responsiveness and professionalism
- Support business development and marketing efforts as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
- 2+ years of relevant experience (consulting, regulatory, or field-based work)
- Basic understanding of air quality regulations and environmental compliance concepts
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Willingness to conduct occasional field work and site visits
- Exposure to air emissions calculations or permitting work
- Internship or consulting experience within environmental services
- Interest in industrial or manufacturing operations
- Eagerness to learn and grow within a consulting environment
- Strong mentorship and hands‑on training from experienced consultants
