Learn more: As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a higher-education location, you will conduct routine mobile and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance with calm, clear communication.
This is a driving post, using a company vehicle to cover assigned areas and support campus operations. You will represent Allied Universal with integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach while delivering a welcoming customer service experience.
Position Type: Part Time
Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an education location.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of academic buildings, common areas, residence areas as assigned, and perimeter to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and interior areas, observe for suspicious or unusual conditions, and report security-related concerns to appropriate campus contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance, gathering information, and documenting actions taken.
- Complete required reports, incident logs, and shift activity documentation, and communicate security-related information during shift briefings and post orders updates.
- Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
