As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will greet students, staff, and visitors with professional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with calm teamwork.

** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

+ Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout academic buildings, galleries, common areas, loading areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.

+ Monitor access points and interior spaces, observe for unusual conditions, and report maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or suspicious behavior through established channels.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance with crowd management, access control, and/or de-escalation as directed.

+ Complete routine documentation such as shift activity reports and incident reports, and communicate clearly with site contacts and responding public services as needed.

* Minimum Requirements:

* + Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.

+ Be at least 21 years of age.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

+ A guard card and/or license is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
