You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine vehicle and foot rounds, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors with clear communication and customer service. ** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within an education location.

+ Conduct regular and random unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, common spaces, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.

+ Monitor access points and observe people and conditions throughout the location, documenting notable activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns and communicating updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, coordinating with campus partners and/or local responders, and guiding occupants during evacuations and/or shelter actions when directed.

+ Complete accurate reports, incident logs, and patrol documentation, and participate in briefings and/or training to support consistent security-related operations.

* Minimum Requirements:

* + Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.

+ Be 21+ years of age.

+ A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
