Security Officer - Flex

Job Summary

Our Security Officers support Harvard Protection in providing best‑in‑class security and life‑safety services.

Luxury Corporate Office Center, Downtown Chicago – Loop, West Loop, South Loop, Mag Mile, Gold Coast.

• Shifts:
  
  mornings (1st shift), evenings (2nd shift), overnights (3rd shift), including weekends.
• Maintain professional demeanor; greet customers, visitors, staff, tenants, guests.
• Maintain visible presence in assigned facility.
• Monitor environment for suspicious/unsafe activity.
• Familiarize with incoming/outgoing traffic.
• Answer phones professionally.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property; monitor entrances/exits.
• Enforce facility policies and procedures.
• Perform patrols on foot or in vehicle.
• Observe departing personnel to prevent theft of company property.
• Follow emergency action plans and procedures.
• Monitor alarms and systems.
• Prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities.

• Open scheduling availability for all shifts including weekends.
• Flexible full‑time schedule.
• 20‑hour security training certificate.
• Active PERC card.
• Reliable means of communication and transportation.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and professional appearance.
• Experience in contract security, law enforcement, military, or customer service (preferred).

Competitive hourly pay rate of USD $20.00 per hour with health & welfare, dental, vision, sick leave, vacation, and 401(k) enrollment.
