The Lieutenant at Benford Protection Group (BPG) is responsible for overseeing the work of all assigned Sergeants and managing designated operational divisions. This role provides leadership, field training support, coaching, and professional development to supervisory and line staff while ensuring consistent and equitable enforcement of BPG policies and procedures.
The Lieutenant plays a critical role in strengthening operational effectiveness by supporting Sergeants in the field, mentoring leadership staff, and promoting continuous improvement across all assigned sites. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of daily security operations and BPG policies and procedures.
General Duties
- Manage and oversee the work of all assigned Sergeants across designated operational regions.
- Provide field training support and operational guidance to Sergeants and on-site security personnel.
- Coach, mentor, and develop staff to enhance leadership skills, performance, and accountability.
- Support training reinforcement and professional development initiatives for security personnel.
- Ensure consistent and equitable enforcement of BPG policies, procedures, and standard operating guidelines across all worksites.
- Assist Sergeants with complex operational issues, incident response, and performance-related concerns.
- Oversee personnel performance management, including coaching, corrective action recommendations, and recognition initiatives.
- Interpret and apply company policies, procedures, and applicable laws or ordinances.
- Communicate company policies, operational updates, announcements, and job openings to supervisory staff.
- Participate in training development initiatives.
- Attend required training sessions, leadership meetings, and supervisory briefings.
- Lead by example and foster a professional work environment that promotes PACT.
- Perform other related duties assigned to support operational effectiveness and staff development.

Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. Associate degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in security, military, or law enforcement.
- Minimum of 3 years’ security management experience.
- 21 years of age at the time of application submission.
