As a Security Guard Patrol Associate in Chicago, IL
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic educational location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security‑related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You’ll Do
  • Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within an educational and public‑facing location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout galleries, common areas, entrances, exits, and the exterior perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor visitor, student, staff, and vendor access points, verifying credentials and/or permissions while assisting with directions, questions, and general site information.
  • Support opening and closing activities, observe exhibits and restricted areas for security‑related concerns, and report maintenance, access control, and/or environmental issues to the appropriate personnel.
Minimum Requirements
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
