Overview
Marsh's Cyber Claims practice has an open Cyber Claims Advocate position that will be based in Philadelphia, Atlanta, NYC, or Chicago. This is a hybrid role that requires working at least three days a week in the office.
What can you expect?- The Claims Specialist will own the claim process, oversee, administer, and monitor it, ensuring progress especially when obtaining a response from the carrier.
- Receive new events/claims, review and process them, collect information, and notify all appropriate insurers as needed.
- Assist clients with incident management tasks, guiding them on incident response vendors, carrier panel requirements, and approvals.
- Proactively keep the process moving forward, track deadlines, open items, keep clients and carriers updated, track invoices and payments, and facilitate communications.
- Collect and analyze claims processing data to verify various metrics.
- Process and audit claims data to ensure adherence to established standards.
- Assist in resolving coverage and legal issues, working closely with the Cyber Claim Advocate.

- Provide guidance and review (complex) escalated events/claims to determine coverage, impacted policies, and provide resolution, otherwise refer to Claims Advocate.
- Review incoming documentation and complex new claim notifications for large or complex clients, informing relevant parties of potential issues and referred to Advocates.
- Maintain regular contact with a portfolio of complex/larger clients to build trust, internal expertise, and departmental accountability.
- Liaise with clients and third parties such as attorneys and forensic firms to resolve complex claims notifications, updates, information requests, hiring of professionals, queries, acknowledgements, payments, and keep all parties informed.
- Participate in internal and external audits, providing feedback and recommendations to improve operations, particularly in regions with large, complex clients.
- Guide resolution of issues with non‑paying insurers for outstanding settlements to retain relationships and expected outcomes.
- 3+ years of industry experience;
Cyber, Media, Tech or Misc. E&O. - Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- P&C license, or the ability to obtain one.
- Self‑starter, resourceful, and able to work independently.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and prioritize work.
- Interest in Cyber liability and incident management and a desire to grow a career in this industry.
The applicable base salary range for this role is $84,700 to $180,300. Base pay will be determined by factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and minimum wage requirements. In addition to base salary, the position may be eligible for performance‑based incentives.
