Watches over personnel and company assets. Monitors entrances and exits to the building and patrols company property.

May have similar responsibilities for parking lots and garages. Intervenes in case of robbery, vandalism, and other risks to the company personnel or installations. Coordinates activities with local police and fire agencies as appropriate. Incumbents in this role are not armed with a weapon.

** Responsibilities:
*** Conduct regular patrols of the manufacturing facility to detect and deter any unauthorized access, vandalism, or other security breaches. Utilize surveillance systems, such as CCTV cameras, to monitor activity throughout the premises.
* Monitor entrances and exits, verify credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors, and ensure compliance with security procedures. Issue visitor badges and maintain accurate records of individuals entering and exiting the facility.
* Respond promptly to alarms and security incidents, investigate disturbances, and take appropriate action to resolve situations effectively. Coordinate with local law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
* Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures, fire drills, and other safety protocols. Act as a first responder during emergencies and provide assistance to employees as needed.
* Document all security-related incidents, observations, and activities in detailed reports. Maintain accurate logs of patrol activities, security breaches, and any incidents requiring further investigation.
* Enforce company policies and procedures related to safety and security, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards and security vulnerabilities.
* Provide courteous and professional assistance to employees, visitors, and contractors, addressing inquiries, providing directions, and offering support as needed. Serve as a visible and approachable presence, fostering a sense of security within the facility.
* Work closely with the shipping department to weigh incoming/outgoing trucks and ensure all loads leaving the facility are with the correct carrier and all pertinent paperwork has been completed.

* Qualifications:

*** High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in security preferred.
* Proven experience as a security guard or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
* Strong observational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to quickly identify and respond to security threats.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels.
* Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, with the capacity to handle stressful situations with professionalism and tact.
* Proficiency in basic computer applications and security systems, including CCTV surveillance and access control software.
