Position Overview
The Manager of Executive Protection & Corporate Security Training oversees planning, development, and execution of security protocols and training programs for executives, events, and all company personnel. This role includes managing the executive protection program, ensuring corporate security personnel receive necessary training, and mitigating risks across executives, employees, and assets.
Key Responsibilities- Executive Protection – Develop and implement comprehensive security plans for executives, VIPs, and high‑profile individuals; oversee day‑to‑day operations of the protection team; provide on‑site security for business trips, meetings, and public appearances; assess threats and recommend risk‑reduction solutions; coordinate with law enforcement and security agencies; review intelligence; manage security vendors.
- Corporate Security Training – Design and deliver training programs focused on situational awareness, personal safety, and emergency response; conduct training sessions, drills, and simulations; update content with best practices and technology; evaluate effectiveness and improve programs; oversee training and protocols for all locations in Mexico.
- Risk Management – Analyze security risks, develop mitigation strategies, prepare risk assessments and incident reports; respond to emergencies; ensure all security systems are fully operational.
- Collaboration & Coordination – Work with senior leadership, HR, Communications, and legal to address concerns and ensure policy compliance; collaborate with external consultants and law enforcement; liaison between protection team, security staff, and senior management providing updates.
- Event & Physical Security – Oversee event security for onsite or off‑premises events; assess and manage vendor security services; support physical security needs at the Chicago office and other designated locations.
- Reporting and Documentation – Maintain detailed records of protection activities, training sessions, and incidents; prepare reports for senior management on operations, effectiveness, and risk mitigation.
- Leadership – Lead and supervise a high‑performance security team; exercise discretion and professionalism in high‑pressure situations.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in corporate security, executive protection, or related field.
- Proven experience managing security teams, including executive protection specialists.
- Extensive knowledge of corporate security best practices, systems, and emergency protocols.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with senior executives.
- Ability to manage high‑pressure situations with discretion.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CPP, Executive Protection Specialist) preferred.
- Experience developing and delivering corporate security training programs.
- Valid driver’s license, valid passport, and ability to travel internationally.
- Previous law‑enforcement experience preferred.
Frequent domestic and foreign travel required for assignments, training, and on‑site protection services. Availability to work outside regular business hours in response to emergencies.
