Deputy Regional Security Manager (D/RSM) – Assistant Director The opportunity
EY Americas Security promotes a safe and secure working environment across 200+ offices in Canada, the United States, Latin America, and Israel, serving 90+K employees. The Deputy Regional Security Manager will drive regional implementation of Global Security policies and guidance, developing and maturing key security disciplines in the United States, working with Region Leadership, Global Security, and Region Risk Management experts.
Yourkey responsibilities Planning and Policy
Assist in implementing EY’s Security Global Policy within the US, covering security operations, threat and risk monitoring, business resilience (crisis management, emergency preparedness and response planning, business continuity planning), physical security, insider risk, travel security, meeting & event security, and executive protection.
Business Resilience (Crisis Management/Business Continuity)- Develop, implement and oversee Crisis Management Plans (CMPs) and Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) for each office in the area of responsibility.
- Lead training and preparation of office-level crisis management teams and alternates.
- Exercise notification and escalation procedures, including full implementation of EY’s mass notification tool.
- Develop or refine procedures for communicating during emergencies to personnel, clients, stakeholders, and media.
- Conduct in-person visits to assess physical security compliance and best practices.
- Collaborate with Real Estate and Facilities teams on new office spaces and major renovations, reviewing risks and controls.
- Prevent, detect, and respond to insider risks with the EY Americas Insider Risk Fusion Team.
- Implement the insider risk program within the geographic area.
- Provide office-level training.
- Provide training and awareness pre-travel briefings for employees traveling to high- and extreme-risk locations.
- Implement, oversee and execute meeting and event security.
- Coordinate with local law enforcement, venue security managers, and event coordinators.
- Confirm appropriate conference/hotel emergency preparations.
- Pre-identify local emergency services (fire, police, medical).
- Participate in compliance processes for security disciplines.
- Disseminate awareness material across the Region.
- Report on implementation completion status.
- Support cross-functional security initiatives.
Collaborate with regional security, risk, and global teams to analyze business environment, geography, security needs and stakeholder expectations.
Supervision Responsibilities- Manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision; flexible schedule required.
- May supervise internal/external contractors supporting security activities.
- Develop independent solutions and secure stakeholder buy-in.

- 10+ years in a dynamic security environment or law enforcement.
- Federal Law Enforcement experience as an investigator (1811) with emphasis on insider risk, crisis management, executive protection.
- Acting as a manager with at least 3 years in a dynamic security organization.
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays during crises.
- Willingness to travel ~25% of the time.
- Recognized security qualification such as CPP or CTM.
- Spanish fluency.
