Job Summary
The Enterprise Control Room (ECR) serves as the command center for physical security operations Enterprise Security Operations Coordinator (ESOC) II coordinates the ECR processes and is responsible for real‑time monitoring of physical security, incident response, threat assessment, and intelligence analysis. The ESOC II leads the ECR during management absences, assists in overseeing satellite corporate security operations centers, and performs ongoing quality assurance to optimize systems and staff.
Hours:
Monday through Friday, 9:00pm to 5:00am. The position requires availability for 24/7 incident response and emergency duties, with occasional travel.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in physical security operations or a related field.
- At least 1 year of work in a security operations center, national or global.
- Strong understanding of physical security technology and systems.
- Ability to identify and assess potential threats.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Availability for emergency and incident response 24hours/7days/week/365days a year, except during approved paid time off.
- Occasional travel to additional company locations.
- Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, security management, or a related field.
- Experience in a leadership role with sound decision‑making skills.
- Certifications in physical security (e.g., PSP, CPP, PCI).
- Experience with intelligence gathering and analysis tools.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- City of Chicago Fire Safety Director Certification.
Maintain vigilant oversight of video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, building life‑safety, automation, and other physical security sensors; proactively identify suspicious activities and potential threats; dispatch security personnel or initiate emergency protocols in response to alarms and breaches.
Incident Response and ManagementCoordinate and execute timely responses to security and safety incidents, collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services, conduct investigations, document findings, and implement corrective actions.
Threat Assessment and Risk MitigationContinuously evaluate physical security risks through intelligence gathering, data analysis, and trend monitoring; develop and implement proactive security measures; stay abreast of emerging threats and best practices.
Technology and Systems ManagementEnsure optimal functioning of PSOC technology and security systems; conduct audits and maintenance; recommend upgrades and modifications.
Security Intelligence AnalysisGather information from open‑source intelligence, social media, and internal reports; analyze data to identify potential threats; prepare intelligence reports and briefings for management.
Communication and CollaborationFoster effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including security personnel, facilities, HR, Ethics and Compliance, IT, and law enforcement.
ECR CoordinationEnsure staff are versed in protection and security policies, conduct new hire and ongoing training, evaluate performance, remain on call 24hours for emergency response, crisis management, and business continuity, complete relevant training as directed.
