Job DescriptionSecurity Officer Access Coordinator – Part-Time
As a Security Officer Access Coordinator in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls. In this role you will help manage access control, monitor entry and exit activity, and support security-related protocols with professionalism and care. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, provide outstanding customer service and communication, and respond to incidents calmly.
Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour
Job Schedule:
- Friday: 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM
- Saturday: 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM
- Sunday: 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail distribution location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, maintain visitor logs, and report unauthorized or unusual activity calmly and professionally.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations with professionalism, following post instructions and documenting security‑related events as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the building, dock areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
- Communicate with site contacts, delivery personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding access requests, policy questions and operational issues impacting the location.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal may consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
