Security Officer Credential Verification Post in Chicago, IL supports clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution by performing security-related screening activities, monitoring assigned areas, and maintaining visibility to help reduce incidents. The role focuses on delivering outstanding customer service and effective communication while reflecting agility, reliability, innovation, care, and integrity.

• Mon 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Tue 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Wed 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
• Screen individuals, packages, and/or personal property entering or exiting the location in accordance with post orders and established security-related procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations through appropriate site contacts and documentation channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around screening areas, loading and receiving zones, and the perimeter, noting conditions that may require follow-up or additional attention.
• Help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items by maintaining an attentive presence, verifying credentials when required, and following established inspection and escalation procedures.

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
