The New School seeks professional Security Officers who will be responsible for the security and safety of the institution’s buildings. This Local 32BJ position reports to the Security Shift Supervisor.

• Knowledge of all site‑specific policies and procedures.
• Implement emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Provide superior customer service and building and premises security.

• Minimum of 3 years of related work experience.
• 30 college credits from an accredited college or university or the equivalent combination of security, military, or law enforcement experience.
• New York State‑Issued Security Guard License.
• Proficient in the English language.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• State Fire Safety Director's License (a plus).

This position is primarily in‑person and is based on campus to support effective in‑person collaboration and engagement.

Hourly Rate: $18 per hour.
