Provides security for patients,employees,and visitors. Protects hospital buildings,assets,and premises.

• Patrols hospital buildings and premises to prevent fire, theft, vandalism, and intruders. Reports on safety and/or fire hazards or security violations. 20%
• Controls parking and traffic flow in parking areas; enforces parking regulations. 15%
• Secures and/or unlocks offices and facilities.
  
  Securespatient valuables or lost and found articles;maintain slogs of items received. 15%
• Monitors conduct of visitors on hospitalpremises;confrontunauthorized people for questioning as needed. 15%
• Responds to inquiries for advice orassistancefrom hospital personnel,students and visitors;aidswith restraints of patients as needed. 15%
• Transportspersonnel and equipment in hospital owned vehicles. Escorts personnelparkinglots and hospital buildings as requested. 10%
• Participates in investigations;maintains records and prepares incident reports and other documents pertinent to security activities. Maintains department records,reports,and files as required. 10%

1 to 3 years of housekeeping experience.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of conflict resolution and management of aggression
• 20-hoursecurity certificate
• Perc Card
• Ability to work in afast-paced environment
• Possessorganizational skills
• Ability towritereports
• Ability to read and write English
