As a Security Officer Armed Deterrence Patrol in Chicago, IL
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to situations as they arise. You will provide exceptional customer service, clear communication, and support for a welcoming environment.

• Provide customer service to employees, customers, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a financial institution.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of banking areas, offices, parking facilities, ATMs, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and applicable laws.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor authorization, and maintain accurate activity, incident, and patrol documentation.
• Maintain required armed post equipment and qualifications in accordance with Allied Universal policies, client requirements, and applicable regulations.

• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
