Healthcare Security Officer-Hyde Park

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a professional, approachable presence while ensuring the integrity of security screening protocols.
• Assist hospital personnel and visitors with directions, information, and customer service support.
• Respond appropriately to system alerts and elevate concerns to hospital security leadership or law enforcement as needed.
• Complete Daily Activity Reports (DARs) documenting incidents, unusual activity, and security observations.
• Support hospital safety initiatives by monitoring entry points and controlling access to restricted areas.
• Maintain compliance with all client-specific and company operational procedures.

• Licensing:
  Must possess a valid PERC (Permanent Employee Registration Card) issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
• Must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
• Experience:
  
  Prior security or military experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations.
• Ability to stand for extended periods while monitoring security screening equipment.
