The Regional Asset Protection Manager, Midwest will help create, develop, lead, and maximize all aspects of the Asset Protection function for ALO sanctuaries across assigned districts in the Midwest United States and Canada.
The role will ideally be based in Chicago and will work in direct partnership with regional Asset Protection counterparts, Retail Operations leadership, and the Director of Asset Protection and Safety.
In this role, you will use proven methodologies, emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, data analysis, and strong field engagement to develop and execute a comprehensive Asset Protection program that supports the ALO vision and continued brand expansion.
The Regional Asset Protection Manager will embrace artificial intelligence as a force multiplier—using AI-enabled tools to enhance analysis, accelerate pattern and anomaly detection, improve investigative efficiency, and support proactive, data-informed decision-making.
This position will support a growing, multi-district portfolio of sanctuaries throughout the Midwest and Canada.
ResponsibilitiesShrink Reduction and Operational Excellence
- Analyze inventory shrink results and work closely with Retail Operations, district leadership, and store leadership to develop strategies addressing external theft, internal theft, fraud, and operational errors.
- Drive shrink-reduction goals throughout assigned districts and consistently communicate company Asset Protection initiatives to field leadership and store teams.
- Assess high-shrink and high-risk sanctuaries to identify sources of loss and develop measurable action plans.
- Conduct comprehensive risk and site-vulnerability assessments to identify deficiencies and recommend measures that protect employees, guests, merchandise, property, and other company assets.
- Assist with strategic initiatives and contribute to the successful development and implementation of Asset Protection objectives.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, biannual, and annual Asset Protection summaries, including trend analysis of relevant key performance indicators.
- Build effective field partnerships that support sales and operational goals while protecting company assets.
- Support additional Asset Protection projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Data, Technology and Artificial Intelligence
- Leverage exception-based reporting, POS data, inventory reporting, RFID, CCTV, case-management systems, and other analytical resources to identify theft, fraud, operational loss, and emerging risk trends.
- Use AI-enabled tools to increase the speed, consistency, and effectiveness of Asset Protection analysis, reporting, investigations, training, and risk assessment.
- Apply artificial intelligence as a force multiplier to recognize patterns, prioritize investigative opportunities, summarize complex information, and strengthen preventive strategies.
- Identify responsible opportunities to automate repetitive processes and improve the efficiency of the Asset Protection function.
- Evaluate AI-generated information critically and apply sound professional judgment before making recommendations or taking action.
- Ensure AI tools are used responsibly and in accordance with company policies, confidentiality requirements, data-security standards, privacy obligations, and applicable laws.
- Partner with Asset Protection leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to identify, recommend, test, and deploy new technology and process improvements related to shrink, security, safety, investigations, and cash management.
