# Security Officer Chicago, IL 60602## Overview Salary Range $20.00 - $25.00 Hourly Job Shift Any Education  Level High School## Description Blue Line Security Solutions is seeking a professional, reliable, and vigilant Unarmed Security Officer. Serving as the primary  door person  for the facility, this role is critical to maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for customers, staff, and visitors.##

Schedule
* ** Saturday:
** 1800 – 0230 (6:00 PM – 2:30 AM)
* ** Sunday:
** 1200 – 1800 (12:00 PM – 6:00 PM)

Additional weekday hours will be available on an as-needed basis to cover call-offs, vacations, and schedule adjustments.*## Primary Responsibilities
* ** Access Control:
** Serve as the primary door person, consistently checking IDs, directing visitors, and issuing passes to strictly control access to the premises.
* ** Safety & Compliance:
** Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees within the State of Illinois by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel, adhering strictly to the Private Detective, Private Security, and Private Alarm Act.
* ** Patrol & Monitor:
** Secure premises and personnel by actively patrolling the property and monitoring surveillance equipment.
* ** Incident Response:
** Respond immediately and appropriately to alarms and calls for assistance.
* ** Loss Prevention:
** Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities and informing violators of facility policy.
* ** Documentation:
** Complete comprehensive reports by accurately recording observations, incidents, and surveillance activities throughout the shift.##

Job Requirements & Workplace Policies
* ** Uniform & Appearance:
** Must wear the standard issued Blue Line Security Solutions uniform and maintain a highly professional appearance at all times.
* ** Equipment:
** This is strictly an
** unarmed
* * position.
* ** Device Policy:
** The use of personal cell phones is strictly prohibited while on duty to ensure undivided attention to building security and access control.
* ** Vigilance:
** Ability to remain alert, observant, and responsive for the full duration of the shift.## Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Must be at least 18 years of age (21 for armed positions).
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills for detailed report writing.
* Training in CPR/First Aid preferred.
** Candidate MUST possess or be eligible to obtain a Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC)
** issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) prior to the start of employment. New hires must complete the state-mandated
** 20 hours of Basic Security Guard training
** within 30 days of employment. **(For Armed Positions Only:
Requires an additional 28 hours of firearm training and a valid Firearm Control Card (FCC) and Firearm Owner's Identification (FOID) Card.)*
