This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position with a pay range of $32-$36/hour.

Location:

Chicago, IL.

• Locate and mark positions for connections and fixtures
• Install supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures and equipment, assemble and install valves and fittings
• Install, repair and maintain water treatment equipment, piping and controls, underground storm sanitary and water piping systems, sinks/tubs/toilets, water heaters, and conditioners
• Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported and graded
• Test pipe systems and fixtures for leaks
• Maintain all building codes and installation requirements to relevant legislation and environmental guidelines to all repairs and maintenance
• Perform scheduled maintenance service on plumbing systems and fixtures
• Prepare orders of supplies and keep daily reports in electronic work order system
• On call is required for plumbing emergencies (on-call and travel pay is provided, accordingly)
• Perform other related duties as required

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
• Must be a licensed City of Chicago Plumber
• 5-10 years’ plumbing experience
• Valid driver s license and vehicle to travel between properties is required - mileage reimbursement is paid
• Ability to frequently use general maintenance tools, supplies and equipment such as hand tools, ladders, and safety equipment
• Ability to frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and climb (stairs, ladders, etc.)
