, a privately owned industrial machine manufacturer with a long history in the fabrication industry, to support our field service team. This contract field service role requires a willingness to travel at least 75% of the time and will be based at home but provide a company vehicle.
Pay range: $27.00/hr - $49.00/hr
Position SummaryField Service Technicians perform hands‑on preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems of metal fabrication machines. The role involves traveling to customer sites to diagnose, repair, and optimize equipment performance, ensuring safe operation and customer satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities- Prioritize, schedule, and complete machine service for customers.
- Prepare and submit documentation for efficient invoicing.
- Maintain company property for safe operation and maximum life.
- Efficiently manage business expenses to maximize profitability.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and assist in establishing preventative maintenance schedules with customers.
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience (or related military experience) including troubleshooting.
- 2+ years of experience operating and maintaining hydraulic systems.
- Foundational knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic principles.
- Strong diagnostics and technical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Willingness to travel overnight at least 75% of the time.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Strong PC and organizational skills.
This position is physically active, requiring frequent standing, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing ladders. Must lift a minimum of 50 lbs. frequently. Visual acuity for close and distance tasks is required. The work environment can be loud. This is a high‑travel position.

Technicians will be provided a company vehicle, paid training, and after the first year eligibility for our Field Service Incentive Program.
