Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Reyes Fleet Management is seeking a Fleet Diesel Mechanic A to help with repairs and maintenance on trailer/tractor equipment at our facility shop in McCook, IL.
Shift: Full‑Time 3rd Shift – Wednesday‑Saturday 10:00 PM‑8:30 AM, OFF Sunday‑Tuesday! Pay:
Starts at $31.00‑$37.00/HR plus an additional $2.00 per hour for shift differential. Additional CDL Incentive Pay: $1.00 with an active CDL A or B license. (Pay is based on experience/qualifications)

- The Fleet Technician is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and overhaul of fleet diesel equipment, as well as the diagnostics and rebuilding of clutches and brake systems.
- Completes thorough documentation for work orders related to repairs and preventative maintenance using the online Asset Works system.
- Operates a company vehicle to diagnose and repair equipment as part of roadside service calls.
- Ensures that equipment has the required licensing and registration before being deemed "roadworthy."
- Installs, replaces, and repairs onboard computers (XRS or Xata Net) and/or cameras (Drive Cam).
- Works in accordance with company, local, state, and federal policies and regulations to ensure safety.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED and 2 to 4 years of related experience.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, occasionally 100 pounds.
- Must possess own tools (minimum tool requirement).
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles.
Education and Experience:
- Technical school certification.
