Job Overview
A Level IV Lead CO Installation Technician to join a client team. 100% national travel with all expenses paid. Per diem of $185 for hotel and meals. Hotel, airfare, rental will be pre-paid by TEKsystems; all other expenses reimbursed with receipts. Travel time up to 8 hours is paid.
Responsibilities- Lead the installation of DWDM optical equipment in a CO environment.
- Install infrastructure including fiber, fiber trough, ladder rack, and cabinets.
- Test fiber connections (training provided for installers missing this skill).
- Assist in training Level IV installers to perform testing and turn‑up.
- Complete training to become Infinera and Ciena certified.
- Work under a Client Lead for day‑to‑day direction and maintain day shift duties with occasional maintenance windows for cut‑overs.
- Expert level experience in central office installation of DWDM optical equipment.
- Must know how to lace and stitch fiber.
- Experience with Ciena 6500 DWDM and/or Infinera DWDM 7100 installation.
- Experience using Ciena 4300, 5400, 1830 equipment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of central office, installation, optical, circuit, telecommunication.
- Must pass drug screen, background check, and DMV check.
- National travel required; ability to spend up to 8 hours traveling per day.
- Pay range: $35.00 – $38.00 per hour.
