Masonry Worker Overview
The Masonry Worker performs tuck pointing, repointing, grinding, and brick repairs on residential and commercial buildings. You’ll also lay brick, block, and stone; repair chimneys and masonry walls; and operate tools like grinders, mixers, scaffolding, and lifts. This is a hands‑on, physical role that requires safe work practices and reliable craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities- Tuck pointing and brick repair
, plus laying brick, block, and stone - Repairing chimneys and masonry walls and completing structural rebuilds
- Operating masonry tools and equipment safely
- Mixing mortar, grout, and concrete; assisting with concrete pours
- Working with a crew, maintaining quality workmanship, and following OSHA safety standards
- Handling materials, cleanup, and general labor tasks
- 2+ years of masonry or tuck pointing experience preferred
- Ability to lay brick, block, and stone accurately
- Skilled with masonry hand and power tools
- Comfortable working at heights and lifting 50+ lbs
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to safety
Helpful additional experience: concrete finishing, grout mixing, general construction labor, or supporting experienced masons; willingness to learn new techniques.

This is a Contract position based out of Chicago, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.
