Construction Installer

Job Overview

Full‑time Construction Installer – Springfield & Chicago, IL. This traveling position requires working 8–12 hours per day, up to 50+ hours per week. Travel, transportation, lodging and meals are covered.

• Use hand and power tools to install bird deterrent products (bird netting, spikes) in commercial facilities such as distribution centers, transportation facilities and aircraft hangars.
• Work at average heights of 40 ft, primarily using aerial lifts; also on roofs and scaffolding.
• Perform bird‑control services safely, following company guidelines and standard practices, and meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Maintain good customer relations, communicate service actions to customers, and leave premises clean.
• Train company colleagues in bird and bat applications.
• Report any unusual circumstances or problems to supervisor or sales representative.
• Participate in group meetings to improve service delivery.
• Identify customer bird issues and apply preventive steps.
• Complete technical training and update training regularly.
• Maintain equipment and vehicle cleanliness and working order.
• Assist sales and management in reviewing accounts and upgrading service levels.
• Complete administrative reports promptly and accurately.
• Meet productivity targets relative to training, experience, and account type.
• Use power equipment and aerial work platforms correctly.
• Provide off‑hours and weekend service as requested.
• Tolerate varied environmental conditions (seasonal weather, damp, dusty).

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to enter and exit structures, crawl spaces, climb over and on top of structures, use stairs and ladders up to 60 ft, and be uninhibited at heights.
• Certification in Aerial Work Platforms and use of Hilti power actuated equipment.
• Certification to operate aerial work platforms; use of fixed and swing scaffolding.
• Required industry licenses (to be obtained).
• Valid driver’s license from state of residence.
• Flexible working hours, all shifts, travel throughout national coverage areas.
• Ability to work nights and weekends as required by customers.

Hourly pay: $19.00 – $35.00. Pay may vary based on geographic location, skills, education, experience, overtime, incentives, commissions and route assignment.
