We are looking for a skilled Bathroom Renovation Carpenter to join Wood Contracting's team specializing in residential bathroom remodeling projects across Chicago neighborhoods. This position focuses on detailed carpentry and installation work required for high-end bathroom renovations in condos, townhomes, and single-family residences. You will work alongside experienced professionals on projects where precision and quality are essential.

• Execute bathroom demolition while protecting plumbing systems and adjacent rooms.
• Install custom vanities, medicine cabinets, shelving, and bathroom storage solutions.
• Frame and prepare spaces for shower installations, including waterproofing and tile substrates.
• Install tile for floors, showers, tub surrounds, and back splashes with precise measurements.
• Fit and install bathroom fixtures including toilets, sinks, and faucets in coordination with plumbers.
• Execute finish carpentry including trim work, door installation, and custom details.
• Ensure proper ventilation installation and coordination with electrical work.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas in occupied homes during renovations.
• Communicate progress and any concerns directly with the project owner and homeowners.
• Complete projects within established timelines while maintaining quality standards.

• 2-5 years of experience in bathroom remodeling or residential carpentry work.
• Strong tile installation skills including shower systems and floor applications.
• Experience with vanity installation, custom cabinetry, and finish carpentry.
• Knowledge of waterproofing systems and proper bathroom construction techniques.
• Ability to work in small spaces typical of Chicago condo and townhome bathrooms.
• Familiarity with Chicago building codes and plumbing requirements.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license for travel throughout Chicago.
• Physical ability to perform demanding work including lifting, kneeling, and overhead tasks.
• Professional demeanor when working in occupied residential properties.
• Willingness to learn new techniques and receive on-the-job training.
