Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Cicero, IL facility. In this role, you will set up and operate machine tools, fit parts, and assemble components for fabrication and repair. You will also maintain industrial machines and install or repair electrical systems and electronic components of industrial equipment.

Essential Job Functions- Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot, install, and perform basic repairs of frequency drives and plant machinery including PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Power Flex, Tele Mecanique, ABB, Lenze).
- Troubleshoot, install, and repair electronic devices such as safety scanners, safety lights, touch screens (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Keyence).
- Perform maintenance and electrical functions, troubleshoot inefficiencies, and prevent equipment downtime through regular PMs.
- Use a multi‑meter and other electrical test equipment with drawings, schematics to diagnose and repair problems.
- Parallel all equipment, make required settings and adjustments for optimal performance to manufacture quality products.
- Perform schematic modifications for equipment function changes as needed.
- Complete work orders accurately and in accordance with company guidelines.
- Work required hours and shifts for customer demands.
- Follow safety and company policies, reporting issues, accidents, incidents immediately.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.
- Demonstrate basic computer knowledge.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical trades preferred.
- Preferred 1‑3 years of maintenance experience in an industrial setting.
- Experience in a maintenance role within an industrial environment, corrugated industry is advantageous.
- Industrial Maintenance/F‑Electrician certifications, programs, or training.
- Availability for 2nd and 3rd shift work and overtime as required.
- Read simple wiring diagrams.
- Perform basic AC motor troubleshooting.
- Perform basic electrical installations.
- Troubleshoot basic control circuits.
- Demonstrate splicing, box installation technique.
- Read and interpret instructions in written or verbal form, including operating and maintenance instructions, work instructions, policies and procedures, procedure manuals.
- Write routine reports and correspondence effectively.
- Communicate effectively with machine operators.
- Calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurements, volume, rates.
- Interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Strong mathematical skills in addition, subtraction, multiplication, division.
- Read a tape measure accurately.
