Field Service Technician

Responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing fuel storage tanks, pumps, meters, monitoring systems, and related equipment at customer locations.

What You’ll Do
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair fuel storage tanks, pumps, meters, monitoring systems, and related equipment.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on customer fueling equipment.
  • Clean, prepare, and paint fuel tanks and equipment as needed.
  • Assist with fuel tank repairs, upgrades, relocations, and removals.
  • Diagnose equipment issues and recommend solutions to customers.
  • Train customers on proper operation and maintenance procedures.
  • Complete service reports, inspection records, and maintenance documentation.
  • Follow DOT regulations, company safety procedures, and customer site requirements.
  • Maintain a professional appearance while representing the company at customer locations.
  • Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in a clean and safe condition.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair fuel storage tanks, pumps, meters, monitoring systems, and related equipment.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on customer fueling equipment.
  • Clean, prepare, and paint fuel tanks and equipment as needed.
  • Assist with fuel tank repairs, upgrades, relocations, and removals.
  • Diagnose equipment issues and recommend solutions to customers.
  • Train customers on the proper operation and maintenance of their equipment.
  • Complete service reports, inspection records, and maintenance documentation.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, environmental regulations, and customer site requirements.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company positively at all customer locations.
  • Work closely with operations, sales, and dispatch teams to ensure exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain company tools, vehicles, and equipment in a clean and safe condition.
Required
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-B) with Tanker Endorsement or the ability to obtain one within a specified timeframe.
  • Acceptable driving record and ability to meet company insurance requirements.
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical and maintain a valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and safe work practices.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
Preferred
  • Experience with fuel tanks, pumps, meters, fuel monitoring systems, or petroleum equipment.
  • Experience operating medium‑duty commercial vehicles.
  • Basic electrical, plumbing, welding, fabrication, or industrial maintenance experience.
  • OSHA, Hazwoper, or related safety certifications.
  • Experience working in the petroleum, construction, fleet fueling, or industrial services industries.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, bend, climb ladders, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to safely operate tools, equipment, and company vehicles.
  • Ability to work at customer sites, construction locations, and industrial facilities.
