Job Overview
As an Apprentice Engineer, you will assist the maintenance team in ensuring that all hotel facilities, systems, and equipment are functioning optimally. You will gain hands‑on experience in a variety of maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical work, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs. This apprenticeship is designed to provide you with the skills and knowledge necessary to pursue a career as a hotel maintenance engineer.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in routine maintenance and repair tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry work.
- Perform inspections of hotel facilities, identifying potential issues and reporting them to the Maintenance Engineer or Supervisor.
- Support the maintenance team in responding to guest requests for repairs or maintenance in a timely and professional manner.
- Learn to troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems, electrical circuits, and other equipment used within the hotel.
- Assist with the maintenance of the hotel’s exterior, including landscaping, lighting, and building integrity.
- Help ensure that all tools, equipment, and work areas are kept clean, organized, and in good working condition.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance your technical skills and knowledge of hotel maintenance operations.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
Wage information
The hourly wage for this position is $18.25.

Qualifications- A strong interest in building maintenance, engineering, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of tools and equipment used in maintenance and repairs.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, walking, and working in various environmental conditions.
