The University of Chicago seeks a Structural Mechanic to perform building envelope repairs, fabricate metal components, and maintain roof systems. This hands-on role requires welding, brazing, soldering and precise fabrication work on interior and exterior hardware.
Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED (associate degree preferred) and demonstrate mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and physical stamina to handle extended periods of strenuous work in various weather conditions.
