Position OverviewAs an Industrial Electrician your roles and responsibilities will include:
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems and production equipment.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance using Autonomous Maintenance (AM) and Progressive Maintenance (PM) standards.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical issues to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot and maintain 480V electrical systems, PLCs, and VFDs.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics.
- Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and arc flash safety requirements.
- Identify, document, and report equipment failures and technical losses.
- Work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams to ensure efficient operations.
Most importantly, you need to be a passionate Industrial Electrician who enjoys his work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal Industrial Electrician would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 7 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with 480V electrical systems.
- Experience troubleshooting and maintaining PLC and VFD systems.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Knowledge of industrial safety procedures, including LOTO.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be willing to work 2nd or 3rd shift.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree or certification in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
- Experience with PLC programming and logic modifications.
