Work Hours:

Monday - Friday 7:00AM – 3:00PM

The Facilities Mechanic reports to the Facilities Manager and is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical equipment, machinery, and building systems to ensure safe and efficient operations.

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facility systems.
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues.
• Repair or replace defective components, motors, bearings, belts, pumps, valves, and other equipment parts.
• Conduct inspections to identify wear, damage, or safety concerns.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and technical drawings.
• Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic instruments safely and effectively.
• Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and repair records.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and equipment failures.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, OSHA standards, and company policies.
• Assist with installation and setup of new equipment or machinery.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and maintenance shops.
• Participate in after‑hours or on‑call maintenance coverage when required.

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Technical certification or trade school training preferred.
• 2+ years of facility or building maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting experience preferred.
• Ability to operate maintenance tools and equipment safely.
• Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and time‑management skills.
• Ability to read manuals, schematics, and work orders.
• Proficiency with basic computer systems and maintenance software preferred.
• Clean background check and valid Florida Driver’s License.
• Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, pumps, motors, and industrial equipment.
