Starting at $19/hr
Work Hours:
Monday - Friday 7:00AM – 3:00PM

The Facilities Mechanic reports to the Facilities Manager and is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical equipment, machinery, and building systems to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Responsibilities- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facility systems.
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues.
- Repair or replace defective components, motors, bearings, belts, pumps, valves, and other equipment parts.
- Conduct inspections to identify wear, damage, or safety concerns.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and technical drawings.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic instruments safely and effectively.
- Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and repair records.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and equipment failures.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, OSHA standards, and company policies.
- Assist with installation and setup of new equipment or machinery.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas and maintenance shops.
- Participate in after‑hours or on‑call maintenance coverage when required.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Technical certification or trade school training preferred.
- 2+ years of facility or building maintenance experience preferred.
- Basic electrical troubleshooting experience preferred.
- Ability to operate maintenance tools and equipment safely.
- Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and time‑management skills.
- Ability to read manuals, schematics, and work orders.
- Proficiency with basic computer systems and maintenance software preferred.
- Clean background check and valid Florida Driver’s License.
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, pumps, motors, and industrial equipment.
